Hock Tools spokeshave cutters High performance!
A name in aftermarket blades that we have all come to respect. Ron Hock has these blades made from O-1 high-carbon steel and hardened to Rc 62. Super sharp edges are attained with little effort. Brass retaining nuts included. Large size fits Conover shaves.

Top-Side adjustment screws
Convert your earlier Dave¹s Shaves spokeshave to the easier top-side blade adjustment system. Full length Allen screws are installed to control blade adjustments and post sleeves added for stability. Allen wrench included. (Please add return shipping)
Brass Sole for Compass Shaves
Add a brass sole to your #0 or #2 compass shaves. A brass plate is mortised into the sole and shaped to contour. Includes blade sharpening. (Please add return shipping)
Spokeshave kit
This kit includes all the materials needed to make the DS No.1 wooden spokeshave.
Featured is a select hardwood blank milled to a general spokeshave form. This is the same starting point used by Dave to complete his shaves. The shaped blank has been drilled, morticed (blade and throat) and tapped for the blade adjusters. Brassing the sole would be your option. Finally the blank is left for you to further refine the shaping and finish if desired.
Conover shave supertune
Get the most out of your Conover shave. The supertune includes a new sole-to-cutter geometry, new brassing and a larger throat opening. Re-contouring of the finger rests and sharpening the Conover cutter completes the tuneup. Maximize performance by adding a Hock replacement cutter (not included in the tune up price). Spokeshave Repair / Restoration Service
Restore your original wooden spokeshaves to working order. Tighten tangs, re-mouth and/or re-brass worn shaves. Estimates will be provided before the repair work is started. Rates are per hour, one hour minimum and materials are extra. I highly recommend that you contact me for a consultation before shipping your shave.
